Green Juice Recipe

Classic green juice is just a few simple veggies and a tray of sprouts from Sprouts Alive. For best practice of your body absorbing all the nutrients this drink has to offer, consider making first thing in the morning. Drink 8 oz. all at once as soon as the juice is finished. You can half this recipe for a single serving or save half for later in the day.

Juice for two for a 12-16 oz. serving

Ingredients

1 cucumber

4 celery stalks

About 2 cups of sunflower sprouts

About 2 cups of pea sprouts

1-2 cloves of garlic or a 1/2 inch cube of ginger

Start by peeling and quartering your cucumber. Then wash and cut off the ends of the celery stalks. Peel the garlic clove or ginger. Then take a handful of sunflower sprouts by the base of the plants and cut off with a ceramic knife. One serving should fill up 2 cup measuring cup. Do the same with your pea sprout tray and wash them both in a colander with cold water. Begin juicing the celery, cucumber and sprouts in a rotating fashion. For example, start with a quarter of cucumber, then a celery stalk, then a small handful of sprouts and then a piece of garlic. You should be left with 12-16 ounces of fresh delishious green juice. Say some positive words into the drink like “Thank you for this beautiful drink that will help my body throughout the day”. Then drink and enjoy.

To save some juice for later I recommend using 4 or 8 oz canning jars. Fill it to the brim with juice then cap it air tight. This will allow for the least amount of oxygen to enter and degrade the juice. Refrigerate immediately.
