Our Story

Two years ago I was introduced to the beautiful world of sprouts. Primarily for their health benefits but also for their delicious flavor. I started out ordering from online suppliers but learned quickly how to grow and harvest my own Sunflower, Pea Sprouts and Wheatgrass. I am now bringing my love and knowledge about sprouts to the local Austin restaurants and residents.

How we do it

We start with the highest quality USDA Organic seeds, soaked in filtered spring water. Then germinated in Organic soil infused with Organic fertilizer until the sprouts have started.

We then allow them to grow in the dark until they have dropped the seed hulls and are hungry for light. We then grow them in our humidity and climate controlled indoor grow space until they are ready to deliver.

When you receive the tray

We deliver our sprouts when they are prime to harvest but still have a few days to mature. You can allow them to continue to grow for another 2-4 days on your kitchen counter with daily waterings.Just cut what you need as needed. When they have reached full maturity you can harvest the entire tray to store in our bags then into the fridge. This will keep the sprouts fresh for another 7-10 days after that.

The idea is to give the people the freshest available sprouts and micro greens cutting down on time out of the soil to your plate.

At Sprouts Alive we grow and deliver living and organic sprouts to Restaurants and Residents in the Austin Area.

How it works:

$10.00 Tray Deposit and $13.00 per each new fully grown tray of sprouts.

We give you a full tray of sprouts, you use and harvest as much as you need. Then bring the old tray back and we will give you a new fully grown tray.
